Secretary's Newborn Screening Reports to Congress

The Secretary’s Report to Congress on Newborn Screening Activities includes activities related to newborn screening and screening children who have or are at risk for heritable disorders.  Per 42 USC § 300b-17, this report contains the description of the activities under sections 1109, 1110, and 1112 through 1115 of the Public Health Service Act and the amounts expended on such activities.  The report is submitted by the Health Resources and Service Administration to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions of the Senate and the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives.
